Lion's Gate

Third project in 3DS Max!

As always I had a lot of fun making this project but this one seemed to take awhile to get a well structured lion head. Luckily I have a lot of great friends to help critique my work during the process and it always leads to something much stronger than I begin with, otherwise this lion may still be looking like an angry bullfrog.

My friends also suggested I have a bit of a fixation on things with gems in their head. So far, they aren't wrong, but it's mostly because I love painting in the bright colored lights. :D

Modeled in 3DS Max and ZBrush, retopologized in 3DCoat, unwrapped in 3DS Max and 3D Coat, painted in 3D Coat.
